Cowichan Valley Brew Pub Tours
Brew pub tours of Duncan and the Cowichan Valley. There’s no rush! We take you to the local brew pubs at your pace. It’s a FREESTYLE TOUR. We are not going to nag you to move along and hurry up and finish your drinks. We are ready when you are ready.
There are a few brew pubs in the Cowichan Valley. Let us take you to the most popular brew pubs and even a local gin/vodka distillery.
MIX IT UP: At MyGo Tours we are flexible. If you are interested in combining a wine tasting tour with a brew pub tour, we can do that. Just let us know you want to visit a couple of wineries and a couple of brew pubs. Maybe this is the perfect combo for your group?
While children may be allowed in some brew pubs, this is not the case for all brew pubs. Please check with us first if you plan to bring along children under the legal drinking age of 19. Some brew pubs serve food, thus the health regulations will not allow pets in these establishments. Again, please check with us before bringing your pet.
We’ll take you to what the locals have affectionately named “The Brew Pub”. Its official name is the Craig Street Brew Pub .
Enter the 1940’s building and you will be greeted by a warm interior full of large exposed timbers. Hang out at the 100-year-old antique bar, or relax in a more intimate area of the main floor, which features a real wood burning fireplace. Enjoy their street side patio or the rooftop deck!
Let’s scoot on over to The Red Arrow.
Creativity is the name here. Beers have names like Kustom Kolsch, Piggy Pale Ale, and 1000 Light Years From Home Chocolate Milk Stout (can they fit that whole name on the label?). You are sure to have an amazing tasting experience. Some beers are served year round. Some are seasonal.
Small Block Brewing maintains a cozy atmosphere where you can have a taster, a pint or take home a growler. Snacks are available and Vancouver Island wood fired pizza is here Friday to Sunday.
They endeavour to source local ingredients to flavour their beers with the best of BC ingredients. Try the Canadian Pale Ale (Hoppy front, malty rear), India Session Ale, or Oatmeal Stout – dark chocolatey, but smooth.
Let’s mix it up and walk on over 20 steps to Stillhead Distillery. The distillery currently makes its own brand of vodka and gin and a new blackberry vodka is now for sale.
The business ferments and distills all of its spirits by hand in small batches, using only fruits and grains grown in British Columbia.
You can end your tour at Stillhead or ride on up to the town of Chemainus (20 mins) and enjoy Riot Brewing.
With names like Junk Punch, Lipslide, and Life Partners this brewing company has a full lounge license, outdoor patio, sleeves, sample flights, branded merchandise … You name it! It’s also kid and dog-friendly.
